So, here we are in this life. We sit today within a point of time that includes a multitude of perspectives. Let us list a few.

- I don’t have this

- I am not
- I wish
The fountain of youth. Where is it? Is it hidden in a cave yet to be found as an unforseen archaeological dig? What if all was already given? He who has the most toys wins. He who gives away his last coin gains eternal life. Which is it? So confusing to say the least.
On the one hand we are told one thing, on the other another. Greed, selfishness, contempt, self-righteousness is called survival, thriving, industriousness, and confidence. The subtlties of illusion are engrained. Self sacrifice defined as a percentage of investment capital dedicated to the duty of charity. Charitable organizations abiding by legal structures that define a percentage of outbound contributions satisfying said obligations. The board of trustees of said organization. We do good. The rent is paid.
So, back to eternal life. If one is promised eternal life, what is the price for that? To drink from the fountain of youth, is there a bar fee? By drinking from said fountain, what do we have then to give away? How about we give away that which we are given.
If one is given a life here on Earth, it is already guaranteed one will give that life up. Is that the price for etetnal life? Live one life that ends up giving it up and the promise is eternal life. Before the life on Earth even begins, the promise is made. So if we gain everything in the end, why is the contention to not “give it up” within this life so engrained? We each gave up everything and left it all behind so we could live this life here on Earth. What was so valuable to do that?
We gave up remembering who we were. We gave up friends and family prior to this life. What could be so important to make such a decision? Nothing is more valuable than life. To give up a life is the ultimate gesture of love. We all have done just that by being here on Earth now.
So, why is it that we find it so difficult to give up that which we have? We each are going to end this life guaranteed it seems. And, we gave up all to be here. But, then we find ourselves reluctant to give up anything once here. We forgot about the promise, the promise of eternal life.
The secret of it all is that we never lost anything. We eagerly chose to give it all away, just to be here. We even forfeited our memory of what we had, who we were, and the promise we already knew. We gave it all away for a chance to give it all away again. A chance to remember why we are all here. To know we are all eternal and that nothing matters more than each other.
When we awaken from death and are born anew in the truth of eternity, we will undoubtedly know. But there exists a chance prior to death to see that truth for ourselves while we are here. To remember why it is that we all chose to be here in the first place. To help our fellow. That fellow is all of us.
Yet, here we are in this life. We each sit in a deviation from that truth. We close our doors, we protect our investments, we roll in our pen. We turn our backs upon others. The multiplicities involved in that are too numerous to count. The illusion provides the justification. Yet, within a simple mist lies the elementary truth. Denial of truth for self preservation that has at its core destruction in ultimate end. A hard pill to swallow. It is an oxymoron. However, what would one do for eternal life? A leap of faith into a world perhaps?
Upon leaving that world, upon finishing that life, the truth returns and we see again. How do we answer the question of what were we willing to give up within that life? We agreed to give up a life to live that life. Will I remember in that life? Will I give up so easily in the same manner in which I came into that life on Earth? Look around you and ask yourself if that truth is mirrored in others.
By surrendering what does one gain? To remember the unconditional faith it took to be here in this life to begin with. So where is the faith in giving today? If the ultimate promise is alreary fulfilled, why would there be any reluctance to assume that position of faith without delay? The fountain of youth promised. Eternal life guaranteed. What more could anyone want? Why would there be any deviation if such a truth is simply given unconditionally, as in it already lies within everyone’s birthright?
The resistance to truth is a lesson in faith. A leap into the face of death. We sit in that leap currently, all of us. Prior to death what will you give up? What if tomorrow we all just gave it all away freely as easily as we did prior to being born. Give up what you know. Give up what you have. Give up who you know. Give up the life you have. Why would anyone do that? To help another. We all on Earth made that choice to be here. Now, can we all make that choice while we all ARE here? It seems we’ve all been trying for a long time. Even with a promise guaranteed.
